Its amenities include a 24-hour cafe, a common area, and one-bedroom floor plans. It is a licensed facility and licensed as AF0831A. 

Brookfield Asset Management recently purchased a portfolio of senior housing properties in New York City from Healthpeak Properties. Brookfield paid $664 million for the three properties, including Sunrise Sheepshead Bay, Sunrise at Mill Basin, and Sunrise Mill Basin. Those properties are located at 2211 Emmons Ave and 5905 Strickland Ave. Brookfield did not respond to requests for comment.

Last March, Sunrise opened 104 assisted living apartments in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The company recently broke ground on a second property, with 98 units. As part of Sunrise at Sheepshead Bay, the community offers independent living for elderly residents, along with the compassionate, knowledgeable staff. Sunrise at Sheepshead Bay also offers ample opportunities for exercise, learning, and socializing. Residents can attend classes at the nearby Kingsborough Community College and enjoy fresh-baked bread at the 24-hour bistro. The open atrium offers a scenic view of Sheepshead Bay. 

The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights 

Located in the historic Brooklyn Heights area, The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights is a senior living community with a variety of amenities, including concierge services and 24-hour care from expert caregivers. Residents enjoy access to a rooftop club room and terrace, gourmet dining, and amenities like an art gallery, salon, and fitness center. One-bedroom apartments can cost up to $20,000 a month, depending on the level of care you need. 

The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights is the first luxury retirement community to open in Brooklyn in 20 years. The development of the three luxury care homes for seniors is expected to take place in the historic Leverich Towers Hotel, which was the pre-game hotel for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1930s. Former players such as Joe “Ducky” Medwick and Whitlow Wyatt lived in the hotel in the 1930s.
